Brooklin
A quiet mid-coastal town with many classic homes. Brooklin has attracted boaters, writers, artists, young families and retirees. Affectionately named the “Boat building Capital of the World”, Brooklin is home to a vibrant “local” population which includes lobster man, boat builders and yachtsman. Brooklin is made famous for the home of E.B. and Katherine White. The town is also known as the current home of Wooden Boat Publications, Wooden Boat School and boasts a fine elementary school, an architectural award-winning library, unique shops, Inns, and the popular Brooklin General Store rebuilt in 2016. With an extensive coast line, summer finds residents and tourists alike involved in all kinds of outdoor recreational activity.
